June 14th-17th, DeLorean Car Show and Convention 2012-This all DeLorean event will be held at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida this year and we cant wait to attend! The part III car will be making its East Coast debut at this event making it even more exciting. Here is a link to the website for the show.....DeLorean Car Show and Convention, 2012...UPDATE!!! WOW! Where do I start! As you know we love DeLoreans, and of course we love BTTF so this event certainly didn't dissappoint as there were lots of both! Add in the fact that there were stars from the trilogy and that was the icing on the cake. We got to meet none other than Bob Gale, co-writer and co-producer of the trilogy, who brought along his Dad, Mark who was an absolute hoot! We also met Kevin Pike, special effects supervisor and owner of Filmtrix, the man responsible for building the original time machines for the first movie. Others we met were Andrew Probert, the artist who drew the storyboards for the first movie as well as took over and finalized the design of the DeLorean Time Machine. Andrew worked on Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica and lots of other awesome projects as well! The list also included Jeffrey Weissman (George McFly from pts II and III), Don Fullilove (Goldie Wilson in pts I and II) and of course, Claudia Wells (Jennifer Parker from pt I). We had the pleasure of finally meeting Stephen Clark, the man behind BTTF.com who is a gentleman and overall nice guy! He had some fantastic items up for sale at the show, and his website is excellent so check it out! Oliver and Terry Holler were there with their time machine (which has over 300k on the odometer!). D-Rex, a monster truck DeLorean came to the show as well as the worlds only DeLorean limousine. The original DeLorean prototype, Proto-1, was present and was a real thrill to see! We were on hand with the part 3 car which was a big hit! We were able to take some photos with fans and once again raised some money for TeamFox! We cant wait for the next big show in 2014, which is currently slated to take place in Dayton, OH. Enjoy a few pics!

This is the 10th annual show, and should prove to be the largest event ever with 600 cars expected to attend! The DeLorean Time Machine will be there front and center along with other TV/Movie cars including but not limited to a Batmobile, General Lee, Max Mad and a Smokey and the Bandit Trans Am. It should be a great time and we of course will be there in an effort to raise funds for TeamFox by allowing people to make a donation to have their picture taken with the car. This event is in beautiful Wellesley, MA, click here to find out more information.....hope to see you there! UPDATE!!! This event was absolutely wonderful! Not only were the grounds beautiful but so were the over 600 cars that attended! We had a front row seat with the part I time machine and lots of people took the opportunity to take pictures. We were lucky enough to receive a trophy for the "Best TV/Movie Vehicle" which was a nice surprise! Charlie and Irene Harris, the promoters, really are to be commended for this awesome show.....we are looking forward to next year! Here are a few pics.....

June 30th-July 1st, 13th Elite Dream Machines at Mohegan Sun Casino-We attended this event in 2011 with the first time machine and the stock DeLorean and had a blast! This year, since you can't bring the same vehicle(s) two years in a row, we were asked by Paul Mennett to bring the three motorcycles and my SSP Mustang which will be a real thrill for me. The event happens from June 30-July 1 this year, and we cant wait! Here is a link with information about the event....Elite Dream Machines at Mohegan Sun Casino 2012 UPDATE!!! Bill and Patrick arrived home late last night (July 1st, 2012) from this show and although weary we are happy to say that this show was truly spectacular! The quality of the vehicles that attended were absolutely top notch, and of course our good friend Paul Mennett was a great host. Speaking of hosts, the Mohegan Sun Casino was once again a fantastic venue. With no lack of things to do, the weekend truly flew by! The motorcycles were a big hit as was Patrick's Florida Highway Patrol Mustang SSP, which we are proud to say was honored by being chosen to participate in the "Super Wheels Showdown on City Hall Plaza" in Boston which takes place this coming October. This show includes 100 cars from the Northeast that have either won a major show or was hand picked by the promoter to compete in this, the "Super Bowl" of all car shows here in this part of the world. Needless to say, Patrick is proud to be a part of this! Here are a few pics from this past weekend show....

July 5th-8th, The 22nd Annual New England Summer Nationals-This event is for the serious motor (or petrol!) head out there! You are able to drive around the city of Worcester, MA with open headers and running slicks....it really is an (almost) anything goes event! There are all kinds of celebrity appearances and the DeLorean Time Machine will be there as well. We will be located in front of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, located at Green Hill Park, which is where most of the events take place throughout the weekend. We, of course, will be offering photo ops for a small donation, with the proceeds to benefit the Veterans Association. Here is a link to this incredible event which, by the way, we have been attending since its inception! The 22nd Annual New England Summer Nationals UPDATE!!!!!.....First off, I want to thank the veterans that helped us out with our set up and tear down at this event. There are too many to thank individually, so consider this a blanket THANKS to all of you! This event turned out to be bigger and better than expected, as the weather (at least on Friday) was extraordinary and people came out in groves to see the nearly 5,000 cars, vendors, burn outs, flame throwers and celebrities. Saturday brought a few raindrops which were not especially kind to our electric printer and camera equipment, but we made the best of it for the veterans sake! We ran into a few old friends and to prove that we are not the only car freaks in the family, my cousin Ryan and his beautiful family brought his awesome Buick Grand National out for the weekend (his brother-in-law brought his GNX, too :p). My nearly 88 year old Grandfather even came by for a visit on Friday afternoon. His effort paid off as he got a nice picture with a Marilyn Monroe impersonator, the lovely Camille Terry (see pic below)! The time machine received some press in the Worcester Telegram & Gazette as the promoter, Bob Moscoffian, had Bill bring it by for some photos to promote the show. Here is a scan of the newspaper article for your viewing pleasure! Once again, I would like to thank the veterans for their help and more importantly, for their SERVICE TO THIS WONDERFUL COUNTRY! Here are a few pics from the event....

July 14, 2012 2nd Annual "After Hours with TC Restani Big Time BBQ"-You read it right! Our good friend and fellow BTTF enthusiast TC Restani of Melrose, MA (by way of Las Vegas, of course!) asked us to join him and his nutty cast of characters at his 2nd annual "Big Time BBQ". This event would culminate in the crowning of a champion in the eating contest, an event I witnessed live but cannot reveal the outcome for fear of being a spoiler! You will just have to stay tuned to his youtube channel and see for yourself! You can also check out his website for the latest info, located here. Bill and Patrick brought along the part 1 time machine and we had a blast. We even got to tape a segment for his show and a web episode (which can be viewed on youtube now), what a thrill and honor! The show also made a very nice donation to the Michael J. Fox Foundation which was quite generous and greatly appreciated. See the pics below to check out the fun and be sure to check the youtube link above!

July 25th 2012 Monadnock Bible Council Summer Camp-A month or so ago we were contacted by this group, which camps at the base of beautiful Mt. Monadnock in Jaffrey, NH, as the theme for this years camp was "Back to the Future". What better way to motivate the kids than to bring a real time machine for them to see up close and personal! Bill, Patrick and Bill's youngest granddaughter Kathryn brought along the part 1 time machine. We also loaded up all of the props, including Marty, Doc, Einstein, the plutonium case, Mr. Fusion and our loose flux capacitor. We wanted the kids to get the full effect! Nearly 200 junior high school aged kids got the surprise of a lifetime when we literally unveiled the car from under its cover. They were not made aware of us being there, so it was a surprise! There were yelps, screams and gasps.....it was great! Then Bill gave a wonderful talk and answered the many questions fielded by the kids. We are returning next week to do it all over again, this time with a group of high school aged kids. The council made a very generous donation to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for our participation, which is greatly appreciated! I will update next week with more photos, but here are a few for you to enjoy now!

August 25th, 2012, 7th Annual Northeast Chevelle & El Camino Regional-What can we say? We will bring the car wherever we think people will enjoy it! Now, if I brought my Mustang to this event, that might be a different story;)) This event is hosted by the New England Chevelle and El Camino Association (N.E. Chevelle/El Camino Assoc.) and is a judged show with special awards and give-a-ways. It is being held at the Sturbridge Host Hotel and Conference Center on Cedar Lake, 366 Main St, Sturbridge, MA 01566 (www.sturbridgehosthotel.com) and should prove to be a great show based on previous years! The DeLorean time machine will be there on Saturday the 25th from 10-1, have your picture taken with the car and make a donation to benefit Massachusetts Veteran Associations.
November 3-4th, 2012 Rhode Island Comic-Con-This event, held in Providence at the Rhode Island Convention Center, should be amazing! We have been asked to bring both Time Machines so this will be a first for us! We plan on having a tremendous display as this will also be the official unveiling of our new back drop, done by our "mural" expert, Dennis Day. This event will be the biggest of its type on the east coast, and the list of guests is very impressive! Celebs making an appearance include, but certainly are not limited to: Claudia Wells, Dirk Benedict, Billy West, Peter Mayhew, Lee Meriwether, Richard Hatch, Gil Gerard and Larry Thomas (the "soup nazi" from Seinfeld). There will be lots of animators and artists as well. Wrestlers Jake "The Snake" Roberts and "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan will be there too! The Time Machines will have lots of company, as the General Lee, Batmobile and others will be joining in. Here is a link to the website, which has all of the information you need to know:
Please join us there!
UPDATE:
RHODE ISLAND COMICON Talk about “sex and drugs and rock-n-roll" all crammed into one spot and you’d be talking about our weekend of November 3-4, 2012! We made an appearance at the first annual R.I. Comicon, held at the Rhode Island Convention Center. Coming on the heels on Hurricane Sandy, expectations regarding attendance were set at around 5,000. Well, when we looked out the windows from our vantage point in the corridor just before 10 AM on Saturday the 3rd, we could see there were already at least that many people, chomping at the bit, waiting in line to get in! There was this tsunami of characters in every conceivable costume that poured in all day long. Although we do not have an official count, "guesstimates" ranged attendance to have been 15,000+ for the weekend. We were set up next to a great bunch of guys! On one side there was a Ghost Busters tribute and on the other a fantastic Batmobile. Just across the hall was a Batcycle which was great! It was a great location and the promoter, Steve Perry was very accommodating. Our friend Claudia Wells (Jennifer Parker in Back To The Future) was there so that made for great photo opportunities! Patrick, his fiancé Nikki and I discussed it and figure that over 100,000 pictures of our display were taken. Unfortunately, not as many people opted to have their picture taken with the car(s) as we had hoped but we still did OK and the crowds loved us.
Our trip home was a real, ahem, adventure. We trailered the Part III car and I followed in the Part I car. Providence, R.I. is about 70 miles from home. We had a tire blow out on the trailer carrying the Part III car on the trip back to the homestead in Massachusetts. We were all totally exhausted to begin with and here we were, stuck on the side of the highway at 8PM on a Sunday night. Nobody (AAA, towing companies, wreckers) would come out, and of course we didnt have a spare (we do now!). We had no choice but to drive 2 MPH on a flat for 6 miles to a Shell station, totally trashing the wheel but luckily inflicting no other damage. The folks at a Shell gas station were kind enough to let us leave the trailer behind (with my life's savings stowed in back). Again, we had no other option as there were three of us and only two of us will fit in the DeLorean Part I car. Believe me, it was a sleepless night. The next day, Patrick had to go back with a new tire and wheel, to retrieve the trailer. On the way there, the exhaust fell off the truck. He was able to limp to the destination, change the wheel and tire (with great effort) and get back. It's one for the books. So, you ask, will we go back? Absolutely, we’ll try it again next year!

Cruisin' Nights: Hopefully lots of them in the general vicinity of Massachusetts! We will try to post early enough, but this may be a day to day thing as the weather will have a profound effect on our participation.
Special Appearances: While at the Elite Dream Machines car show in July 2011 Bill and Patrick were asked by the producer of Cruisin New England, Paul Mennett, if they would like to be on his show, seen on NESN-TV. Of course, they were very excited and accepted the invitation. Well, the episode is scheduled to air this January so I wanted to share this information with our friends here. Here is the schedule:
Episode 3 - The Elite Dream Machines goes...Back to the Future!
1/22 5:30 pm Episode 3
1/27 2:00 pm Episode 3
1/27 2:30 pm Episode 3
1/29 5:00 pm Episode 3
I know most of our friends here in New England have this channel as it is the home of our beloved Boston Red Sox and Bruins, and I believe many of you may be able to get it on satellite TV. For those of you not able to view it live, I will be taping it and posting it here. I believe they will be incorporating the episode filmed with the motorcycles (information seen below) as well so this should be great!
Winter 2011-12-Bill and Patrick are scheduled to be guests on the NESN (www.nesn.com) television show "Cruisin New England" with Paul Mennett (www.cruisinnewengland.com). After having us as guests at the Mohegan Sun event over this past summer (and filming a spot with the DeLorean's while there) Paul asked us if we would be willing to be part of a special episode that would be dedicated specifically to motorcycles. Of course we were happy to participate in this and it was a lot of fun shooting the footage. Here are a few pics from the shoot:

Paul and Mike (the videographer) were gentlemen and pure professionals as always. Bill and Patrick did a pretty good job, if we do say so ourselves! Bill is mad because he didnt get any pics taken, he said he would forgive me but I think he had his fingers crossed......besides, he got a lot more "camera time" than me
! Look for these episodes to air during the winter of 2011-12.
*UPDATE* I am happy to say that both of the episodes have aired and we are thrilled with the results! The professionalism of the people involved is to be commended, they made us look good! Hope you all got a chance to see them, if not, each will be available online at www.cruisinnewengland.com sometime in the very near future.
